Keystage 2 - Food - Feasts

At festivals and religious celebrations wealthy people feasted on expensive and select foods. These feasts were hospitable, the food was plentiful and they used seasonal and local delicacies. This activity uses the resources on the website to help you plan your own feast.

With a partner or in a small group, design a menu using some of the Plant Cultures plants.

These recipes might help you. Write lists of all the ingredients you’ll need.

Writie a script for a TV cookery programme. You will need to prepare a step-by-stop guide so the audience can follow the recipe.

Perform your script to the rest of the class.

You could then set a date to cook the food and invite friends and family to your school to try out your feast.
