There are different types known as RAM, SYAM, these are names of Gods. There are so many uses and the plant is considered holy and is in front of every house. Also Holy Basil helps keeps mosquitoes away.
This story was collected by the Museum of London at workshops with the Shravika Satsang Mandal group based at Dennis Jackson Community Centre,Wembley.
