Click here for more detailsThe Paris Exposition Universelle was another world fair, held to celebrate the achievements of the past century and to encourage development into the next. A record 50 million people attended the exhibition. These combs were exhibited as part of a large collection of forest products in the India Section. One of the combs is designed for use by a man, and one for a woman, they come originally from Ajmer when it was a state in its own right, Ajmer is now part of Rajasthan.
