The Colonial and Indian Exhibition was held at South Kensington in London in 1886. These fruits were exhibited at part of the Indian Economic Court. Before this they were part of the collection of the India Museum in London. The Museum was formed by the East India Company in 1801 to display artefacts, natural history specimens and illustrations from the Indian subcontinent.
