Click here for more detailsThis sample of bark was donated to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in 1896 from the collection of Professor William Dymock (1834-1892), Surgeon-Major of the Bombay Army. Dymock was also author of 'The Vegetable Materia Medica of Western India'. This bark was collected from Bombay when it was a state in west central India, now divided into Gujarat and Maharashtra. Bombay (Mumbai) is the name now given to the capital of Maharashtra.
