Click here for more detailsThis cotton yarn was displayed at the Franco-British Exhibition in 1908. The Exhibition was held in London and celebrated the Entente Cordiale between the United Kingdom and France in 1904. Greaves Cotton & Co supplied this yarn for the Exhibition. This yarn was collected from Bombay when it was a state in west central India, now divided into Gujarat and Maharashtra. Bombay (Mumbai) is the name now given to the capital of Maharashtra.
