The Colonial and Indian Exhibition took place at South Kensington in London in 1886. These roots were displayed in the Indian Economic Court at the Exhibition which was organised by the Government of India. The Museum of Economic Botany at Kew received over 1,000 specimens from the Colonial and Indian Exhibition.
