I use garlic for flavour, fragrance and taste in my cooking. An old wives' tale that I have heard about garlic is: if by accident you touch a snake and the snake then escapes, that snake will be back again to bite you, sniffing its smell. However, to avoid this mishap, you should put garlic all around the house and the snake will not come near the house as they don't like the smell of garlic.
