Education
Text and images may be used for any kind of non-commercial educational use within homes, schools, colleges and universities. Suggestions for educational use of the website are given on our Schools pages. Permited uses include printing or downloading of website materials, repurposing for teaching materials or classroom activities, and use on non-commercial educational intranets. However, material should not be posted onto publicly-viewable websites. We ask that credit is given, where possible, to the Plant Cultures website, and to individual partners or contributors for stories or images used.

Private study and research
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and its partners in the Plant Cultures website, grant you a license to use its content for your own private study and private research, either as printed copies or by downloading on to your personal computer.

Commercial use of Plant Cultures website materials is prohibited, unless written permission has been sought and obtained from the copyright holder.
Most of the images on the website are available for purchase for commercial use through the picture library of the relevant partner. Contact details for these are given on the Partners page. For other materials, including website text and stories, please contact Plant Cultures.
Commercial use includes any use for the purposes of monetary reward by means of sale, resale, loan, transfer, hire or other form of exploitation of the website materials.
